The Sansai Trickle Shower is an attractive and effective way of providing extra filtration and aeration to your pond.

Made from high density black polyethylene, it is less prone to heat loss and quieter in operation than the metal equivalents. The unit consists of three or four layers. In operation, pond water is pumped to the upper level and fed by twin spray bars and percolates through multiple layers which are filled with biological media. At the same time, the water is aerated from oxygen drawn through numerous vent holes. After its journey through the upper units, the water arrives at the bottom collector tank where the filtered water is returned to the pond via a 110mm pipe or overspill weir.

The trickle showerr is best fed from a bottom drain or alternatively, the skimmer provided there is a good water supply. In order to reduce maintenance and improve its biological efficiency, it is recommended that mechanical cleaning to remove debris, via a sieve or vortex is undertaken before the pond water enters the trickle tower.

Alternatively, you can purchase the filter without any media so that you can select a media of your own choice.
